The United Arab Emirates has officially dismissed rumors suggesting that digital asset investors, particularly those involved with the Telegram-linked TON token, qualify for the country's Golden Visa program. Regulatory bodies including the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and the VIRTUAL Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a joint statement refuting these claims.

Authorities clarified that the Golden Visa remains exclusive to real estate investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and exceptional talents—with no provisions for cryptocurrency holders. VARA explicitly stated that TON is neither licensed nor authorized to operate within the UAE's regulatory framework.

The announcement underscores the UAE's cautious approach to integrating digital assets with residency benefits, urging applicants to consult official channels for accurate program details.
